| Etsu_ElfRanger11-03-04, 06:28 PM | I have a question that I'm hoping someone could help me answer. Does anybody have any ideas on how you could convert blank cartridges (as in for a gun) into something workable in DnD? I have a situation that works fine in a modern setting, that i'm trying to bring into the fantasy setting of a dnd game. NPC 1 is threatening NPC 2 with a loaded gun. NPC 1 demonstrates that it is in fact a real, loaded weapon by firing two shots at things in the room, one at a mug and another a ceramic statue. Both of which break. He then turns the gun on NPC 2, and fires. NPC 2 falls to the floor, apparently dead. However, the third bullet was really a blank. NC 1 had been playing a very sadistic joke on NPC 2, who had merely fainted. So, there are 2 real bullets, and 1 blank. Is there a way that a situation like this can be done in DnD? It doesn't have to be an exact duplicate, just something along those same lines. I would really appreciate any advice I could get on this. Also, if this doesn't seem workable in DnD, please tell me. This is an idea for a game I'm DMing, but most likely as a sidequest. I really appreciate any advice you can give. |

I believe it's in BoED as well. |
