Okay, i know you'll find this odd, but it's part of a challenge set to a PC wizard. Design a weapon that's strong yet easily concealed.

So I present a weapon i need a cost to create, as i suck at that

The Shovel of Doom
It's inspired (nay, Stolen from the weapon of the same name, now a rare, in AdventureQuest. (No link as i don't want to be labeled for advertising.)

Shovel of Doom.
Medium weapon. It's a damn shovel, nice looking with a variety of coloured handles and shafts. Flat head, sharpened edges.
Weight 10Lb, Damage 1d10 Slashing 19-20/x3.
It's basically an axelike weapon, with a bit of a difference. On command the head of the shovel flies off the handle and attacks the target it's pointed at as a dancing for up to 10 rounds per day, then returns to the body of the weapon. The detatched head deals 1d8 damage, and the handle without it's blade deals 1d8 piercing damage.

The 10 rounds of use are cancelled by the command word, and need not be ... i forget the word. don't all have to be used at once.

I think it'd need animate objects and telekinesis (for dancing and returning), plus maybe keen edge or haste (keen and speed).

I'm not surre. It'll need a masterwork shovel with a shorter than normal handle to allow 1 or 2 handed wielding, then i'd say 24850 gp and 1960 xp.

no idea really, any advice? it'd be made as a one-off to demonstrate the wizard's creative abilities and get him a job, and he'd probably not get it back.

still, i like the idea and in my more lighthearted group it may make an appearance. this is the group with a jelly mage! JELLY!
