| Orc_Lord02-08-07, 12:33 AM | In the PHB it indicates that if a weapon were to be made for a large sized creature that its cost is doubled. The A&E Guide indicates that the cost of a Large weapon is +50%. Has there been an official ruling on which is corrrect? |
| RavenDrake02-08-07, 12:50 AM | A&EG is 3.0, the PHB (assuming your using the current one) is 3.5. At any rate, in a 3.5 game making a weapon sized for a large creature doubles the price of a medium sized weapon. The increases in size/cost in 3.0 were completely different because it used a different weapon size system. |
| risner02-08-07, 01:02 AM | PHB for several reasons: 1) It is 3.5, A&EG is 3.0. 2) It is primary source (PHB.) |
| Orc_Lord02-08-07, 01:06 AM | *curses WotC and their revisons* Thanks for the clarification. One other question then -- does anyone know the cost factors for other sizes then? Fine Diminutive Tiny Huge Gargantuan Colossal |
| risner02-08-07, 08:17 AM | Fine Diminutive Tiny Huge Gargantuan Colossal This is in the PHB, but I will dup here: Cost of Medium to X: 1/16 Fine 1/8 Diminutive 1/4 Tiny 4 Huge 8 Gargantuan 16 Colossal |
| Orc_Lord02-08-07, 12:17 PM | Thanks Risner. Could you please tell me where in the PHB it shows that. I have scoured the dang book endlessly and can not find any reference to that. |
| Titan W02-08-07, 03:38 PM | It halves for every incriment lower than medium, and doubles for every incriment above medium. I think it's a phrase about2 sentences long in the equipment section that says this. |
| risner02-08-07, 03:50 PM | PHB p114, but it isn't as clear as I remembered it. The costs are give for small/medium (the same) and for Large. It leaves you to extrapolate (like I did) that bigger than Large cost 2x each step and smaller than Small cost 1/2 each step. |
