Cost of anvil, forge, hammers and tongs, etc - how much to make a smithy? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Okay, hammers and tongs I can find in published books. I can find a 'crafter's kit' and masterwork version. I found a 'forger's kit' in the AEG which has little to do with forging, I know it could all be used in the process, but the items included would have little bearing on the end result.

Where can I get decent pricing guides on the rest of a smithy? Specifically, how much should an anvil cost? How about the forge itself, with or without a bellows? Any other info?

Thanks...

I would rather price the whole thing out together.

An Alchemist Lab costs 500 gp, a single masterwork tool 50 gp.

I would say that a full Blacksmith smithy should contain at least 2 or three masterwork tools, but should not be quite as expensive as an Alchemist Lab.

My price would be around 300 gp.

Just get an artisan' kit and you are good to go.

Thanks for the replies, but for various reasons, I am needing to price out the specific pieces;

Anvil
Hammer(s)
Tongs
Forge

I already have hammers and tongs from PHB and AEG - so really I need the price of an anvile, and the price of a forge.

Thanks!

(If you have it) I think the forge and anvil are in the Stronghold Builders Guide.
