The DM guide says to add 500 gp/lb. Does that sound accurate to you guys? Depends on what form you get it in, oddly enough. It's a LOT cheaper if you buy it in the form of armor or weapons and then smelt it down yourself. Example: A full plate weighs 50 lbs, which by that price should cost 25,000g. But if you buy it as a premade mithril full plate, it'll only cost you 10,500g. However, by the rules, yes, unprocessed mithril costs 500g/lb. Conclusion: Mithril arms and armor are not made 100% of mithril. Less than half of it is actual, pure mithril. By that ruling, mithril would only cost around 210g/lb. |

| StevenO03-24-07, 08:29 PM | Lets see, 3 tons at 500gp/lb. is only around 3 million gp. That would be one very big chunk of treasure. |
