craft magic arms and armor feat question [Archive] - Wizards Community

No, Craft Wondrous Item. Slippers or not arms nor armor even if they provide armor or attack bonuses. Like Bracers of Armor are listed under wondrous items, not armor.

10-19-07, 02:14 PM oh, I feel dumb, that was on the next page of the DMG and I just neglected to get that far yet as I was pondering where slippers would fit into categories on the page before wondrous items. Thanks for pointing that out.

Wondrous items is a catch all category. Everything that is not arms, armor, staff, rod, wand or artifact belong there. Oh ya, constructs arn't either since there is the craft construct feat somewhere.

Not true, Bracers of archery and augment crystals require Craft arms and armor. So some nonarmor require that feat.
But usually if they add attack bonii or work woth armor/weapon specicially.

To further clarify, Bracers of Archery require both Craft Wondrous Items and Craft Magic Arms and Armor. But since the bracers are not strictly a weapon or armor, they're unlisted under wondrous items. I don't have the MIC, so I can't comment on augment crystals.
