Crafting wands error [Archive] - Wizards Community

How can the listed price in dmg for a 1st lvl magic missile wand be 750 though since u cant get the feat until CL 5?

-scratch that i suppose one can craft it at a lower lvl- :p

05-24-07, 10:22 AM Because you choose your caster level when you craft the wand.

The Magic Missile wand is crafted at CL1st, and so it's 1x1x750gp. It produces one missile when activated.

If it were crafted at CL5th, it'd be 5x1x750gp. It'd produce 3 missiles when activated.

05-24-07, 10:23 AM I believe you can use the minimum caster level required to use the spell; so in this case 1x1x750 which would give you one missle per charge.

Or you could use your current caster level if you wanted the cost to be greater; 1x5x750 for 3 missles per charge.
