create weapon usable only by spec. alignm. [Archive] - Wizards Community

how can i create a weapon that is only usable by a creature that has a specific alignment? Does this reduce the base price of the item?

11-27-04, 05:01 PM Apply the following magic weapon special abilities: Axiomatic (Lawful), Anarchic (Chaotic), Holy (Good), or Unholy (Evil.)

So, an Axiomatic Holy longsword, for instance, would only be usable by a wielder of Lawful Good alignment. (Well, sort of. A wielder of any other alignment could use it, he'd just get negative levels while holding it.)

But since each of these properties has a +2 base price modifier, this would increase the price of the weapon, not decrease it.

11-27-04, 05:12 PM There are rules for creating magic items which are only useable by vertain races/alignment but I don't like them much as they allow it that Pcs can reduce the base price of items they crate by 25-50%.

I would actually increase the price on limited magic items.
