Creating an Item which gives Bonuses to Crafting? [Archive] - Wizards Community

a Hammer of Superb Crafting
+5 Competence to Craft Weapon or Armor?

What would the prereqs be and what would the cost of this item be?

I have the MIC and can't find a similar item to guestimate pricing.

I assume since its a tool and not a weapon it would fall under the Wondorous Item Category?

11-13-07, 10:46 PM It would be a Wondrous Item. It would cost 5000 gp (= bonus squared times 100 gp for each of two skills), per the normal rules. I don't think the surcharge for multiple abilities or for being unslotted should be added here, since with the craft skill your not getting any advantage out of that.

I'd make the prereqs CWI, minor creation, and craft (weaponsmithing) and craft (armorsmithing)
