(glamered, slick, shadow, silent moves and so on ...) |
| tarkin05-25-05, 10:57 AM | First Weapons don't have those things, only armor. Second, The rule is as many as the DM allows. A smart DM will allow a few, but I doubt he would let you get all. I personally would limit it to +100,000 of other abilities, making a total of 200,000 for armor. |

| tarkin05-25-05, 01:04 PM | Intelligence is a seperate issue entirely. Intelligence can be added to any weapon, even a +10 weapon, and not make it epic The balancing factor is that the intelligent item can and will ARGUE with you. The more powerfull the weapon, the more it will argue. Also note, one of the best uses for intelligent items is to give it abilities that sometimes need to be done when you can't do anything. A sword that when you hit -9 can heal you even though you are unconcious and can't direct it is worth it's weight in gold. |

Hey Tarkin, no counterpoint for you here hehe (we should make our own board on crafting point/counterpoint LOL). Actually want to say, GREAT IDEA. The fighter in the game I'm DMing wants a sword with heal on it, he'd love that idea. He's been hoarding his gold like crazy. Thyme |

Obviously if you don't have the pre-req's you can't add, but assuming you have the necessary feats, spells and cash (and the DM's approval) there's no RAW limit. Keep in mind that Super-Monster-Happy-Good armor +5 will probably become a target for any in-town thief wanting to grab a single item he can retire on to every dragon with a nose for rapidly increasing his hoard and therefore his draconic prestige. -CJ |
