Alright, lets make an Ancestral Relic :) This is a relic to be taken via the ancestral relic so lets not talk about what feats or whatever it would require, lets talk about core costs. Here is the rule via pg 282 of the DMG Calculate the value of the most expensive power, then add 75% of the second costly power then add half of all other abilities. So, lets take the base item: Nightstick from the Libra Mortis. This rod gives the feat Extra Turning. The price is 7,500 Hey, here is another rule paraphrased from the same page. This item requires the class feature "Turn or Rebuke Undead" so it cuts cost by 30% cause you have to have a cleric like class for it and cause it is an item built in reverence of Pelor it is also Alignment specific, as to Any Good or even Neutral Good so thats another 30% :) Note this is not 60% off but rather 30% and then another 30% off. 60% off is just too much :) oh, and it is a gauntlet... compaired to a rod I am not sure how this will effect price; this is a perfect oppertunity to through a monkey wrench into my machination. So now, lets take the first item (7500gp), after 30% off its 5250gp, after another 30% off its 3675gp for the first Feat of Extra Turning. Now, 75% of 3675 is 2756gp 2 silver and 5 copper. The third and every other feat is 50% of the first being 1835 and 5 silver. Each time the feat is applied to the gauntlet it stacks, since the feat extra turning stacks (yippie) the item itself doesn't give more turning attemps, it just grants an additional feat :) So lets just assume I can get the stuff to sacrifice and lets look at the levels at whitch I get extra turning attemps according to the chart in Exalted Deeds for max cost of an item per level. at 5th level I get 4 extra attemps at 6th level I get 8 at 7th level I get 12 at 8th level 20 at 9th level 32 at 10th level 44 at 11 level 64 at 12 level 88 at 13 level 112 at 14th level 156 at 15th level 218 at 16the level 286 at 17th level 374 at 18th level 482 at 19th level 634 at 20th level ... well you get the idea... THIS IS SO BROKEN :) but it seems that it works.. Shouldnt this work like Gauntlets of Dex where +2 = 4000, +4 = 16000 and +6 = 32000?
