Hi everyone,

I'm currently preparing a character for a new campaign. It's a Xeph Soulknife, using a good pack of feats from Untapped Potential. He'll have Improved Critical, Exotic Mind Blade (allowing him to shape his mind blade into a specific weapon) and another feat (Untapped Potential's Mantra Final Blade of the Executioner) that will allow him to get +1 to his critical multiplier (going from x3 to x4, for instance). That's pretty sweet, but i don't really know which weapon i should choose :

2 heavy picks (1d6, x4) would mean 1d6 19-20 x5 ?
2 scimitars (1d6, 18-20, x2) would be 1d6, 15-20 (if i'm not wrong) x3 ?
1 falchion (2d4, 18-20, x2) ---> 2d4, 15-20, x3 ?
1 scythe (2d4, x4) ---> 2d4, 19-20, x5 ?

or any other weapon (greatsword, dire flail, heave flail, etc.) ?

I don't have that much feats, so i probably won't have TWF / ITWF. I need your help ! :D

Thanks in advance,

Eeek

It depends on how high your attack bonus is. If it's high enough that you should be able to confirm most crits, then I'd suggest going for one of the 15-20/x3 weapons - you get a high threat and a high modifier. If however you don't think that you'll be able to confirm a lot of crits, definitely go for one of the 19-20/x5's.

Thanks for the advice :)

I don't have a top BAB (Soulknife...) but Power Critical (or an alternative of Untapped Potential) should help enough. I'll probably go for a flalchion or a broadsword :)
