09-01-05, 03:15 AM I'm playing a ranger with both "improved favored enemy" and "favored power attack" feats. I landed a critical on a power attack with my 2handed weapon. Do I multiply the power attack damage or favored enemy damage? The book says that extra damage DICE are never multiplied, but since this is a static addition I'm confuzzled

Stats -> Str 18 (+4dmg), Favored enemy (+4dmg), Improved Favored Enemy (+3dmg), +3 longsword(d8+3dmg, weilded 2hed +2dmg), and I shunted +5 from the ToHit into the power attack, so (+15dmg).

09-01-05, 03:28 AM Static additions are multiplied. In this situation, it looks like 2d8(longsword) + 6 (enhancement) + 12 (Strength) + 8 (Favoured Enemy) + 6 (Improved Favoured Enemy + 30 (Power Attack) = 62 plus weapon damage. Nice Shot

If you do a x2 crit, you roll your damage normally (with all static bonuses), then roll it again (with all static bonuses again), and then roll any extra dice. See the critical hit rules on PH pg 140, ("a critical hit means you roll your damage more than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls together") and PH pg 306 (glossary), which specifies that extra damage dice are not rolled multiple times but added at the end.
