| Terevok08-11-06, 10:03 PM | Ok, this came up in my game session tonight, and I was having some issues calculating the numbers. This comes from several buffs, but basically, a monk without the improved flurry, f/e, the flurry of a level 2 monk, with TWF, and imp. TWF, and a base attack bonus of 12/7/2, what is the new BAB with all the changes? I come up with the numbers of 6 attacks, 3 from BAB, 1 from flurry, 1 from TWF, and 1 from imp. TWF. Total BAB, before adding STR etc. I came up with +8/+8/+8/+3/-2/-5. Are these correct? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Flurry with a Monk: -2 [+10/+5/+0] Fighting with two weapons (light weapon in off-hand) with Two-Weapon Fighting: -2 [+8/+3/-2] Flurry: +1 attack at full BAB [+8/+8/+3/-2] Two-Weapon Fighting: +1 attack at full BAB [Main Hand:+8/+8/+3/-2 Off Hand: +8] Improved Two-Weapon Fighting: +1 attack at BAB -5 [Main Hand:+8/+8/+3/-2 Off Hand: +8/+3] Altogether (in highest-to-lowest Attack Bonus order:) +8/+8/+8/+3/+3/-2 Separated: Main Hand: +8/+8/+3/-2 Off Hand: +8/+3 (Separating is only important if they're using a Monk weapon in one hand or the other, provided that if the Monk weapon in the off-hand is a light weapon. If it isn't, the penalties would be increased, I believe.) |

| Terevok08-11-06, 11:26 PM | Doesn't the monk class description say something about monks always receiving full STR to damage, even with the offhand? |
| ShinAkuma208-11-06, 11:48 PM | Doesn't the monk class description say something about monks always receiving full STR to damage, even with the offhand? Only as far as flurry attacks go. TWF attacks are handled as normal. |
| BatGnat08-12-06, 07:48 PM | You did not mention whether you were using a weapon in your offhand. Unarmed Strike: At 1st level, a monk gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A monk’s attacks may be with either fist interchangeably or even from elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a monk may even make unarmed strikes with her hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a monk striking unarmed. A monk may thus apply her full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes. |
