The whole inbuilt magic item caster level and Save DC vs Saving Throw concepts really screwed over Crystal Balls and similar scrying devices in 3E. Does anyone know of any scrying orbs or divination devices in WoTC or Paizo (Dragon, Dungeon, etc) sources that are actually useful. I would build my own super item but I dont want to crunch the numbers for all of the powers and I want, and some "official" precendents beyond the meager DC 16 Will save Crystal Ball in the DMG would be nice.
