Crystal Chink Constructor [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-17-05, 09:02 AM This magical item is made fo some type of crystal and is about one foot long and comes to a point on both ends. in the middle it is round abouts 2 inches thick. any color of crystal it is made from is also the color the Crystal Chink is. One must make an attack roll with a negative 8 penalty. whenever the Chink Constructor is touched, all spells currently on the toucher is immediatly and irrevocably dispelled. If the attack roll hits, the Crystal Chink Constuctor lodges into the top of the head of the enemy and begins to burrow. The target must makes several saves.
Fort Save DC 16= 3d6 damage
Fort Save DC 18= Begin Transformation into a Crystal Chink
Will Save DC 14= 3d6 INT Damage
Will Save DC 14= 3d6 WISDamage

If the second save is passed, the damage for the following are reduced to d2's. If the second save is failed, the transfomation starts immediately with the target's CON score disapearing. They gain all the traits of a construct over the next 10 minutes making a Will Save DC 16 every minute to not take 1d6 of damage on each failed save. Along with these traits they also gain 2d6 Points of STR and 1d6 Points of DEX. Their HD increases to 12 and so on. The Crystal Chink gains DR 10/Bludgeoning and Weakness to sonic damage, such as they take double damage from it.

Through the screams of your victim you hear brittling and chinking and shattering of what sounds like glass as his skin and insides change into the very crystal you lodged into him. Horrific screams are all you can hear as the crystal takes its horrible toll on the creature. His head flattens to look like that of a table top! That which is flattened it pushed to the back and angled down. (( This under here is a head if you can't see it. the circle in the square shape is an eyeball. I didn't do a mouth, but if you don't get the picture, I can draw it and post it somewhere and put the link here. ))

All Crystal Chinks have this appearence no matter what their previous race was. The rest of their body changes in that they are angled and of the appearence of crystal. They are under no mental control unless such implements are made afterward. The Crystal Chink, unless controlled, tries to do whatever it can to be restored back to its original form. It will quest until the end of its days to find a cure. (( It has immortality but can still be slain )) When crafting a Crystal Chink Constructor, one may also craft the Controller for it, but only at the time of creation of the Constuctor. It cost one fourth of that of the Constructor. This allows you to give commands to the Crystal Chink. They are still Intellegent constructs (( unless the INT save is failed )) and may make a Will Save on every command, no matter how small. (( DC= 16 )) The only way to restore a Crystal Chink back to original form (( for there are NO natural Crystal Chinks, they are all crafted from this "ritual" )) is by a Wish or Miracle spell.

I like the idea of a "chink in the glass" as the saying goes. and it cant be a magic card, i came up with it out of the top of my head.

plus, how can that be subject for discussion?
