I don't exactly understand this, because I figured you always sundered doors when you want to break them down, and for this you would need to know the damage. :confused: It's probably somewhere in the PHB but I don't feel like looking it up.
jazzman831 02-05-06, 07:31 PM	You make a strenght check to bash in a door all at once, otherwise you roll an attack and deal damage to the door. A portable ram can only be used to bash the door in. Breaking Items When a character tries to break something with sudden force rather than by dealing damage, use a Strength check (rather than an attack roll and damage roll, as with the sunder special attack) to see whether he or she succeeds. The DC depends more on the construction of the item than on the material. If an item has lost half or more of its hit points, the DC to break it drops by 2. A simple wooden door has a break DC of 13, and an iron door is 28.
masterofmayhem 02-05-06, 09:38 PM	In other words, the portable ram that is listed in the PHB has no listed damage. However, if used as an improvised weapon, it would deal damage according to its weight and size. Rules for this can be found on one of the last few pages of the Complete Warrior supplement, but, unfortunately, I do not have access to the book right now so cannot look up the information for you.
