Does anyone have a way to estimate damage done by miscellaneous objects tossed/swung at people? Something based on weight/mass/size or something?

check in the back of the complete warrior for improvised weapon damage. You could use that as your basis for determining damage for different objects.

I'm looking for damage on bigger objects than I think that gives. I'm talking trees, cars, street lamps kind of size

In addition to page 159 of Complete Warrior (which goes up to about 400 lb. objects), increasing weapon damage by size is on DMG p. 28.

I appreciate the effort, but to be fair, how many 400 lb. cars do you know? I'm looking for something on a bigger scale than that book provides.

One more time:check in the back of the complete warrior for improvised weapon damage. You could use that as your basis for determining damage for different objects.Specifically, look on page 159, under the heading "Improvised Weapon Damage," first paragraph, and read the third sentence.

For objects that large, you can't really "wield" them. You can drop them on people, so your best bet is the falling object damage rules on DMG p. 303.

Ah, well see the thing is that this isnt for a D&D game, its for an Aberrant d20 game, I just was hoping to get some help. I've tried other boards and gotten crap for responses. I dont even need official rules, I'd be happy with a few decent house rules.

That explicitly spells out how to deal with swinging really big things at folks, regardless of how much they weigh.

I just looked at it again and sorry I missed that line, I must have been reading over that part, but would it have killed you to tell me that its 5d6 for 400lb objects and +1d6 per extra 200lbs?
