I remember reading at some point over the last year or two that for every 200 pounds an object weighs it would cause another 1d6 points of damage when it hits a creature. There is also some type of dive or jump attack where you can jump down on top of a creature and damage it as long as you fall at least 10 feet. Can any one point me to where these rules are spelled out? Thanks!

Falling object damage is here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/environment.htm#fallingObjects) (also on DMG page 303).

As for jumping and coming down to do extra damage, you could be referring to the eagle's swoop maneuver of the Raptor School feat (Complete Warrior page 111), the Leap Attack feat (Complete Adventurer page 110), or any number of other things I'm not remembering right now.

Why is this on the Races board?

Yeah, in a game I was just in, The Tarresque jumped on an NPC. We just said she died, instead of calculating it out....
but, from the stats provided, I figured that they would take...

Let's see, 130 ton Tarresque.

130 x 2000lbs = 260,000 lbs.

It's 50ft up.

260,000 / 200 (For every 200 lbs, it's a d6, as stated above.)

1300 d6.
+4 d6 (For the four additional 10 ft after the first.)

1304 d6 damage....
for a maximum damage of...

7824 damage.

^_^;; Ouchies.

unless said falling object is being used as an improvised weapon attack - ie Jumping/Falling on someone's head with the intent of squashing them into the ground like an accordion. Rules for this situation are in the back of the Complete Warrior.

The Tiny sized bird hovering over someone's head, as they sit near their campfire suddenly and almost instantly turns into a 48,000 pound earth elemental and falls 50ft. onto that person's head. This druid is being mean :D

The max 20d6 is from terminal velocity not weight. You get to take both when you get with with a falling object, so you take it's weight in damage (1d6 per 200 pounds) and up to 20d6 for distance it fell (1d6 per 10 feet).
