Great sword damage base 2d6

What is the damage of a great sword in gold and with one size category in more (Large -> Huge) ?

Thanks for your future answer.

well that depends of if you are using the optional 'heavy weapons' rule in either magic of faerun or races of faerun (can't remember which off-hand)

they state that making a weapon out of a 'heavy' material increases its damage dice by one step, (there are a couple materials they name and gold is one)

so,
a medium gold greatsword would do 3d6
a large gold greatsword would do 4d6
a huge gold greatsword would do 6d6

if you aren't using them rules it follows the normal rules of increaseing damage dice.
2d6 ->3d6->4d6 ->6d6
med->Lar.->huge->gargan.

Multiply the weight of the item by 200 gp, double its weight, and reduce its hardness by 4. I think that for the fact that its so weak, every attack against a metal object counts as a Sunder attack against the weapon.
Other than the sundering rule, those are the rules for Gold Armor(Ultimate Equipment guide, by Mongoose).

In Magic of Faerūn, it's not a normal gold, but a magic gold.

In Magic of Faerūn, it's not a normal gold, but a magic gold.Yes, "magic" gold. :looloo:
Because yeah, if it were normal gold, the stupid thing would bend under it's own weight, forget actually HITTING anything with it. Might as well use a rubber sword...
