Um, do you mean called shots? Do you want to attack specific body parts? I am having trouble understanding your sentence.

is there an attack penalty for attacking a damage specific areaThere are no rules in the Core game for this sort of action, though there are plenty of discussion threads on the pros and cons of including called shots in the game.

I am pretty sure he means called-shots. DO NOT ALLOW THEM. Called shots make sense, add flavor, and are cool. But, they are game breaking if not done right, and it is nigh imposible to do them right. Everyone will be sayin, "I am for his eyes", or "I aim for his head"

If you have to allow them, only allow them on a crit. Then role % on a chart where the blow lands. If it lands on a leg, a penalty to speed, if on an arm, a penalty to hit, if in the face, twice damage. But make the face like a 1-5% or 1-10%. But I advise you just not to use them.

I agree. Called shots are cool for the PCs; however, when the bad guys start using them, the PCs'll prolly hate them. Sure, you make a bad guy NPC go blind with a called shot to the eyes.

...Well, how do you think your Ranger would feel if somebody called shotted his eyes?
