| Mollusk02-22-07, 02:42 AM | Right now my Rogue has TWF and a BAB of +6/+1... giving me 3 attacks... Two with the main hand and one with the off hand correct? If I were to pick up Dancing Mongoose from the ToB, how many attacks do I get. It says 'one addtional attack with each weapon you yield', so I would think 5... Now 3 from the main hand and 2 from the off hand, but I'm unsure. The phrase 'to a maximum of two extra attacks if you wield two or more weapons" is what is throwing me off. THANKS! |

| Mollusk02-22-07, 11:43 AM | Yeah, the fact that this is the TWF discipline would make very much sense in confirming 5 attacks, but I don't know how many times we've said around the table, 'Hmmm, well yeah, that seems like it makes sense', then being wrong  Anyone else? |

I think that phrase is there for things with more than two weapons, like Thri-Kreens, who otherwise would get a ridiculous benefit from Dancing Mongoose. And to standardize the ability with Raging Mongoose, which has the same text but two additional attacks, for a maximum of four bonus attacks. I believe your analysis that gives you 5 total attacks (3 normal plus 2 from Daning Mongoose) is correct. If you only had one weapon, you would get 2 basic plus one for the Mongoose. |
