is there an item, ring or goggles or such like that grants permanent darkvision or other permanent ability that allows sight in the dark?

i'm making a human ninja that ideally needs to be able to see in the dark, but dont want to take a dip in another class or Prc to get dark vision.
our dm is making a campaign and has allowed only the core books and the complete books, but if i ask him kindly he might weave a few items into his own equiptment lists that he's making.
so price would be helpfull too. thanks
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Go here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#gogglesofNight). DMG. 12K Gold. Get to know the SRD, it is very friendly.

make your own...

Goggle of Darkvision

3*2*2000 = 12000gp

grants a continuous darkvision effect

or you could have a wizard cast perminant Darkvision of you for a mere 5630gp (warning! wizard will accept no liability for any dispelling or detremental effects caused)

Why make up your own when you can just buy goggles of night right from the DMG. A pair of goggles that grants - ta da - darkvision out to 60'.

And, ironically enough, it's the same item Forged_Fury linked to in the first reply to this thread.

I was thinking of this as well, and was going to post it, but decided to look up the Permanency spell in the SRD first. What I found was that Darkvision fell under the category of personal use:

You can make the following spells permanent in regard to yourself...You cast the desired spell and then follow it with the permanency spell. You cannot cast these spells on other creatures. This application of permanency can be dispelled only by a caster of higher level than you were when you cast the spell.

So that idea is right out. Kinda sucks, too...doesn't seem outside the realm of possiblility that a wizard should be able to enhance someone with a permanent Darkvision effect. And it also seems stupid that the list of effects that can be placed on another person is so short. OH well.
