a dastana is from the arms and equiptment guide. it is a pair of bracery that give a +1 to armor and stacks with armor and shield bonuses, but since the heaviest armor you can wear it with is a chain shirt it is considered balanced by many. but I find that since it is listed under shueld it can be enhansed as a shield. since it stacks with armor and shields, wouldent it be better to have a chain shirt and a dastana than just a full plate?

My group plays with books other then WoTC so we make very efficent use of any type of armor that stacks. With materials and forging techniques our "Tank" can get a pair of Dastanas to give a +8 armor bonus.

Since I know it would probably be asked.
Dwarven Forged: +2 AC, -1 armor check, but adds +10% to spell failure. 900 gp.
Dragonskin: They have a catergory for each age but he uses Wyrm skin. +5 AC (that's it) Cost is x7 of original item.

Yes we know it's broken we don't need folks on message boards to tell us this. The DM (me) also makes very efficent use of these for any NPC's.
