| Oberton11-13-04, 03:02 PM | If a character is taken down via Massive Damage he is considered dead. Just want to make sure they did not mean dying, which would allow a stablization roll or another to use heal on them... Thus a fighter with a current hit point count of 124, takes massive damage & fails the save. At this point he is DEAD and would need a magical means of returning to life... Others could not stablize him with a heal check and a cleric could not save him with a heal spell... |
| GoodTeletubby11-13-04, 05:02 PM | nope, he's dead, dee eee dee, dead albeit a fighter with 124 HP blowing a DC 15 fort save is not going to happen often *Jumps up on the armoire and starts dancing* "Lookit me dancin' on on top of fighter's grave! C'mon everybody, do the Black Mage!" |
| The Legendary Two Sandals12-09-04, 02:54 PM | you would think so but Ive seen it happen more than once. And once you get to a certian level you only fail on a natural 1 and by that point alot of the monsters deal massive damage on a good roll. |
| EvilVegan12-10-04, 02:25 PM | Natural 1 doesn't auto-fail does it? I thougt that was only for attack rolls. |
| Avalongod12-10-04, 02:30 PM | NAtural 1 auto fails for saves. Natural 20 auto succeeds for saves. Only for skill checks do the naturals not matter. |
