| Evil Bob01-17-05, 01:12 PM | Including Harm. Actually, I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Harm does not really deal damage, it just reduces hit points, if you see what I mean. Plus, that would make Harm waaaaaaaay more overpowered than spells of corresponding level. FInger of Death is a seventh level spell, save or die, and successful save deals 3d6+caster level damage. Harm is around sixth or seventh level, has no saving throw (if memory serves) and anyone hit with Harm must save vs. massive damage or die? That's overpowered, all right. |
| Shadowfax701-17-05, 02:41 PM | Gilean is correct, check out the 3.5 FAQ. It specifically states that a Harm spell is subject to massive damage. However, it was also stated that it's not the way it was meant to be and it was suggested to either don't allow it or house rule it differently. |
