This monk ability variant allows me to do double dmg with and attack using either an unarmed strike or a special monk weapon, but since it state 'attack' and not 'weapon' is it safe to assume that a Sneak Attack is gonna hurt like hell?

As i recall the rules.. Sneak Attack is precision based damage that adds to your attack damage. Attack damage can get crits and so on, precision based damage cant.

And like you said, this ability improves the damage of the attack, not the damage of the precision based damage. This is also in spirit of every call the FAQ has ever made about increases sneak attack damage.

Agreed. There's pretty good precedence that extra damage dice are not multiplied when your damage is doubled. I'd need to check the rule text, but if it doesn't say one way or the other, that is probably how you should interpret it.

However, it wouldn't be crazy to make an exception here if you wanted. Decisive strike is replacing flurry of blows after all, where sneak attack damage does apply to each attack.

Yes, so when you also have Sneak Attack, you want more attacks aka flurry of blows. When you don't have sneak attack there might be a reason to want to do more damage per hit aka Decisive Blow.

My monk/rogue was actually going to take Desicive blow for the +2DC for stunning fist, while the original concept was to make an assassin (the level in monk was training in how the body works and pressure points) I'm thinking that hes just going to end up being Rog1/Mnk1/Rog6/Master Thrower5/Rog6 with the Dark template.

At Lv15 hes going for Freezing the Lifeblood for even more dehibilitating fun!

Freezing of the lifeblood is really fun, but remember it only works on humanoids.
