| Dnarris07-03-07, 04:52 AM | What is the Save DC for the things made by a deck of Illusions The save DC for the illusions will be based off the caster level given to the item upon creation unless it specifically says otherwise. If you look at the item in the DMG it'll tell you what the caster level is. |

For a saving throw against a spell or spell-like effect from a magic item, the DC is 10 + the level of the spell or effect + the ability modifier of the minimum ability score needed to cast that level of spell.Deck of Illusions (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#deckofIllusions) When a card is drawn at random and thrown to the ground, a major image of a creature is formed. Major Image is a 3rd level spell. You need a 13 in an ability to cast a 3rd level spell. A 13 has a +1 mod. Caster level has nothing to do with it. DC=14 (10 + 3 (spell level) + 1 (ability mod)) |
