Yeah, we are in this campaign and our opponents are for the most part undead. As things are continuing the undead are getting continually tougher and bigger. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any times, or spells that can be turned into items to help us against paralysis.

Some of these undead are probably going to be liches, maybe even a dracolich. Any items that would help would be great. If we do fight a dracolich then it will probably be immune to at least three energies, Cold, Lighting, and one of the other energies probably fire.

So we need protective equipment in general, any and all help would be nice.

The majority of undead are full of negative energy, So any positive energy weapon, spell that is based on positive energy - Ie Heal, Mass Heal, any cure spell, and similar spells.

Aside from the positive energy weapons, or attacks, use tactics to surround and just keep attacking. Other weapons such as Disruption weapons, Blunt weapons(Hammers, Skiprocks, Maces, Flails etc.) and A portable ram[i'll tell you about this later].

Any equipment that emits an aura of positive energy.

Undead-Bane weaponry would be a really good investment for your party, I'd think.

As for anti-paralysis effects in particular, a ring of Freedom of Movement is the obvious, if expensive, solution. (Making sure your divine casters prepare this spell and/or have scrolls, or even wands/staves of it available is a good idea, too.) Keeping Resurgence (which gives you a new save vs an ongoing effect) and/or Remove Paralysis (which, well, removes paralysis) available would also be a very good idea.

A Holy bow shooting Undead bane arrows is a nice investment any of your archers would like to test. ;)

Holy weapons in general is also a good idea, as it will avoid Elemental resistances, while doing nice damage. Not to mention that they will be Good Aligned, to overcome some DR in there... such as summoned deamons. (Liches can do such things, even if they tend to prefer to animate dead.)

Apart from that, there is also the Rangers with Favored Enemy(Undead) and assorted feats that might be good having, but that may be a bit harder to scrounge up on short notice.

And remember Turn Undead of Clerics and Paladins too. Quite useful at times, as it will separate the heavies from some cannonfodder meat(less)shields. There are both feats and items that can boost that.

As for spells, Hide from Undead is a low-level spell that can be useful. Not even Blindsight allows the undead to see, hear or smell you (better than invisibility). Problem with intelligent undead though, since they get a Will save against it. Decent duration and can affect multiple teammembers in one casting.

Flame Strike is a good one. Let your cleric or UMD user get some Wand with it if you can affort it. 10' radius 40' high area spell where half damage is Divine, which is ignored against allies and ignores Elemental resistances, and half fire (generally good against undead).

Death Ward is also a very useful spell to have around undead, since it protects both against Negative Energy damage or Death effects as well as Negative levels. Wands or persistant spell items would be good having here. (1 creature/casting, lasting 1 min/level, so it is something one would want turned on at all times so one do not waste time casting it.)

Don't know if you are high level enough to have access to Holy Word (which can be a bad idea if some of your team members are non-good), Holy Aura (good around Liches), or the Mass Cure spells (which are very good casting in combat, healing your allies and harming your undead foes, affecting 1 creature/level without need for Touch attack).

Sunbeam and Sunburst are high-level Druid (and Sun Domain) spells that are particularly effective against undead in general, and destroy undead that are vulnerable to sunlight. A Sunburst scroll can be good having if you face a vampire clan in a big room, and is also on the Wizard list. ;)

Invest in a Greater Truedeath Weapon Augment Crystal from MIC for your Rogue. It makes your weapon deal an extra d6 (untyped) damage vs. undead, function as a ghost touch weapon, and allows you to crit and SNEAK ATTACK undead as if they were living creatures. In combination with this, you should make certain the rogue has a blurstrike weapon, or be certain your meat-shield ALWAYS flanks undead with the rogue. (The crystal costs 10000gp and must be attached to a +3 or better weapon, but it's cheaper than buying a +3 Ghost Touch, Ghost Strike weapon. Just adding Ghost Touch and Ghost Strike will give you a weapon costing a MINIMUM of 50000gp...)

Since I'm focused on the rogue at the moment, getting him/her a Rogue's Vest is also not a bad idea, or the Deadly Precision property. Both will allow him to deal an EXTRA d6 damage with a successful Sneak Attack. Also the Feat Deadly Precision from Expanded Psionics. (NOT a psionic feat...just really nifty, allowing you to re-roll '1s' the first time you roll them on sneak attack dice.)

Actually, a Greater Truedeath Crystal is a good idea for the meat-shield as well. Then let him flank undead with the rogue and see the crits and sneak attacks do their jobs...

Other than that, Undead Bane, Holy, Disrupting, Sacred, Sacred Burst, Corrosive, or Acidic Burst are all great properties against Undead...
