mexican 10-21-04, 01:28 PM	Say there are two enemies, A and B. I have defensive throw and in walking up to B, I provoke an AoO from A. He misses and I blow one of my own AoOs to trip him. At this point, can I continue to walk up to B, or would I need Spring Attack to continue movement? Essentially, the question is if AoOs count as actions for the round.
Jordan Schaefer 10-21-04, 01:36 PM	No, it does not count as your actions for the round. The AoO is resolved first, almost like a free action or prepared action, and then you move in and continue with what you were going to do. There are other feats similar to this, such as Agile Riposte and Karmic Strike that allow you essentially another attack when someone misses (Agile Riposte) or hits (Karmic Strike) in combat. Now as Defensive Throw reads, you will be limited from then on in the amount of AoOs you will be able to make since it counts against the amount of AoOs you will be able to make in that round. Treat it like you would treat someone running through your threatened square. You don't loose your attack action on the next round because you are take your AoO on a that opponent. You wouldn't loose one in this case either. Hope that helps.
