| The_Dark_One02-01-05, 08:34 PM | Not to make an Inuyasha reference, but I remember an episode where it is mentioned that the people of the village of demon-slayers used the bones and hides of slain demons to forge weapons and armor. Any idea how that would work, stat-wise? :( |
| The Fireballed Mage02-02-05, 12:07 AM | Using the Dragon issue that talked about Dark Sun as a reference, I think bone weapons do either -1 to attack or -1 damage (I can't recall which). They had 8 hp per inch and a hardness I think of 6 (harder than wood, less than stone). Other than that, they followed all other weapon rules. As for weapons made from youma bones, because of the skill needed to forge them, they'd be made as masterwork weapons at least. And since they're made from creatures of magic and mystery, they'd be treated as magic for the purposes of damage reduction. (Flavour reasons, not game rules.) Bone armour is in Arms and Equipment Guide (I think). Leather and scales from youma would be leather armour/hide/scale armour depending on what the DM thinks the creature's natural skin was like. Beyond that, the flavour is yours to create. |
