12-27-04, 01:09 AM Hey folks. I have a question to throw out... Say the spell Greater Creation and Fabricate were used to create an object made of lead within the size limits (a wagon or folded pavillion tent for example). Should this item drop or fall onto someone, do they take the damage as per the weight/height table in the DMG? If this is the case, that works out to thousands of d6 in damage.
Also, Greater Creation has a range as 'short', so can it be conjured over someone's head or balanced so that it will immediately tip over?

12-27-04, 01:32 AM Really, I wouldn't bother with rolling damage in a situation like that. Just roll me a reflex save or be crushed to death.

As for your other question, no, you cannot summon something in mid air or to where it will fall over. It must be summoned/created on a surface that is capable of supporting it's weight. And for something as heavy as you're talking, that basically means it appears laying flat on the ground with 0 chance of moving/falling/sliding/any other form of movement due to gravity.

Long story short, no you can't use Greater Creation to kill anything that moves.

01-20-05, 01:49 PM It's true you can't at one time I used summon instrament to do that only with a pipe organ. Now you can't even summon a pipe organ any more. You could still use it to make some thing at the top of a tower or cliff and push it off.

Use some imovable rods (there something like 8000lb each) and place them in mid air, then conjure the lead and watch your oponent die of your trap (to activate, joust dismis the rods).

01-20-05, 05:10 PM Even with a trap like what you mentioned, it is not an auto-kill.

They would get a save negates, with a DC that was not too hard - you have to summon the weight above them and then dismiss the item holding it up. Worse, the DC would get easier if the weight was higher above them.
