Let's you play a monk and use flurry of blows on something. How does it look like ?

Pick a weapon (or the unarmed strike) and describe the action.

Quarterstaff:

- Rapidly thrusting the staff, much like a spear.
- Rapidly sweeping the staff left to right at the opponent's legs, like a broom.
- Spinning the staff above head, aiming the blows on the opponent's head.
- Spinning the staff on the side, aiming the blows on the opponent's head, much like a serie of uppercuts.

So, what kind of combination can YOU come up with ?

Agent Smith.
lol.

Actually the first thing I thought of was E.Honda's 'Hundred-Hand slap'.
Then I thought of the old 'Brutality' finishing moves from Mortal Kombat.
Then I thought of Taco Bell, so I guess that's were I'll stop.

Matrix 2, I think, is a decent example of the flurry with a staff.

Wow, busting out the Street Fighter.

When I think of Flurry of Blows I think of Chuck Norris laying the smack down as a Texas Ranger. Yeah, Chuck Norris.

A see a flurry of blows being possibly the most chaotic looking thing a Monk does. It is a series of rapid thrusts, chopping motions, slashes and kicks. But that is mostly for my Greater Two-Weapon Fighting Monks, so yeah.
The rapid pokes would be when using the Quarterstaff as a two-hander, the rapid twirls would be when treating it as a one-hander and a light weapon.

for a first level monk, I would see an unarmed flurry as a hook with the primary hand, then, using the momentum, spinning into a hook kick (thinkthat is what they are called) with the opposite foot.
