I'm looking to create an item that takes a Desecrate aura and modifies it so that it only affects allied undead. Then I'm looking to have it modify the aura to 10ft/level (yes, just like the TN). Would a Wonderous Item or a Rod be more appropriate for this? Eventually I'm thinking it would also have other nifty powers. What would turning as a cleric 8 levels higher do to the price? (Double-strength Phylactery of Undead Turning).
