i actually have my players list right here of what they want to be incorporated into it

here the list:megaman, castlevania, breath of fire, champions of norrath, onimusha, devil may cry, boktai, god of war, crystalis, metroid, and zelda.
if ya dont know much about the games ask and ill try to explain.

i dunno exactly how im gonna get it to work but i could use different planes if nessicary.

and i dont want guns to be overly powerful(like having megamans buster do 1d4 normally and 1d8 for one level charged and 1d12 for 2 levels charged, that would be balanced)see what i mean.

A lot of the weapons in Onimusha, as far as I know, could be found in Oriental Adventures and the PHB. But I neither have OA or have played Onimusha, much to my personal irritation in both cases. Anyway, the arm cannons of both Samus and Megaman could likely use the same base, although perhaps Samus has a slightly stronger (on the uncharged shot) one that deals 1d6 uncharged, 1d8 once charged, and maybe 1d10 for twice charged, but the user can get extra ones that essentially add the Flaming Burst, Freezing Burst, Shocking Burst, Screaming Burst, and other elemental effects to the attack as an almost nonmagical thing to the point where it doesn't count against the limit of +10 enhancement on magical weapons.

Castlevania? As far as I know, the Whip, Whip-Dagger, and that sort of thing could work for the classic thing the Belmonts, as far as I know, use...maybe a Mighty Whip designed to deal an extra size category of damage would work there; essentially, a one-handed, blunt, spiked chain-style thing for the Chain Whip that deals 1d6 or 1d8 points of damage.

Zelda's one of the easiest ones, as Link usually uses a Shortsword or Longsword, although the Biggoron's Sword from Ocarina would probably be a Fullblade or Greatsword. Maybe the Master Sword could be a Bastard Sword. The arrows he uses could be enchanted to deliver spells upon contact, although the arrow itself is destroyed in the process, so the Flame Arrows could possibly be like Scorching Rays at minimum caster level, and the Light Arrows could be like Searing Light spells at minimum caster level. If the swords are enchanted, it's pretty standard with no elemental bonus stuff; the Master Sword could probably be a +5, Keen, Bastard Sword.

God of War, from what I've seen, which consists entirely of screenshots and reviews, would probably be an Everdancing Sword, in the case of the one that, if I remember the review correctly, Hermes gives Kratos, but the wielder has to focus on it to control it. The Blades of Chaos could be Throwing/Returning Longswords or Battleaxes, maybe some sort of combination that can switch crit multipliers and ranges between attacks.

Dante's handguns could probably be found in D20 Modern, probably as possibly a slightly stronger variant of the standard pistol that have been enchanted to never run out of ammo and have the firing rate of machine guns. Seriously, I don't recall ever seeing him reload his guns (or load them to begin with), and although I might be thinking of Gungrave, he seemed to be able to spew out streams of bullets much faster than most people. The swords...look at the sword and figure out whether it appears to have an elemental effect, like the sword that has electrical arcs all over it; that one would probably be a Shocking Speed Greatsword or something similar, with at least a +1, possibly +3 or +5 enhancement bonus. The Sparda would be a Falchion designed to deal damage like a Greatsword and has the Throwing/Returning abilities, I think.

The rest of the games you mention I've never heard of or never played, so I can give no opinions on the weapons used therein.

actually kratos from god of war has the huge knives bound to him by chains burned into his flesh

mmm burned flesh

boktai has a gun that runs off of sunlight it stores in a battery

crystalis has 4 elemtal swords that have different powers per level of charge(like the sword of wind shoots out a wind blast at 1,a ball of wind taht can break stone barriers at 2 and sends tornadoes across an area at 3) and the 4 swords combine to the 5th sword the Crystalis.

I think you biting off more then most DM's can chew. Your trying to mix modern elements, future elements and traditional elements in one game. I would advise picking a few and going with that. You can allways use game themes and enemies without using the gear.

You can do all of this rather easily.

The DMG has D&D generic modern weapons in the campaign chapter. They have a table that gives you basic pistols, rifles, and laser weapons.

For megaman/samus use the laser pistol, with a locking gauntlet feature from the phb weapons and equipment. For charge shots I would make it add an extra die of damage per round charging. (slow charge rate since this does alot of damage). Laser pistol does 1d10, charge for 1 round 2d10, charge for 2 rounds 3d10. I would also give charging a minimum strength bonus required like firing a charge 1 imposes a -3 to attack if the PC had a 10 STR (0), but 0 penalty if he had a 16 STR (+3). Level 2 would be -5 or -6 so that it is really hard to hit with a level two charge. This represents the energy building and making the weapon harder to control. Also the charge would drain 5 to 10 shots per charge.

For any cybernetic-like attachments (megaman/samus) just use craft wonderous item, or craft weapons and armor rules for pricing, and make the recipient spend the xp required for it instead of the person crafting.

Donte's weapons could be pistols with "everfull clips" holding 80 bullets before reloading. (I would make the PCs reload once in a while since it will balance more)

For the god of war, I would make his weapons Kukri's (He would be using monkey grip with large kukri's) but I haven't really played it, but kukri's are really big knives. If he can fling them and use the chains to bring them back I would make the weapon exotic and allow a 10ft reach.

Tryaalofthefist covered the other games very well so that all sound viable.

As for monsters grells for MM2 would make excellent templates for the metroid creature. Make sure they have some kind of nasty ability drain... con or str definately.

I hope this helps

If he can fling them and use the chains to bring them back I would make the weapon exotic and allow a 10ft reach.Reminds me of oversized whip-daggers. Just substitute a chain for the whip and throw in a butt-load of pain free of charge.

Good breakdown. So far it does sound rather easy--ironically you pointed out the part of the DMG my mind lept to.

Don't forget, Dante's sword might need throwing and return, or dancing on it. :D

i need a good way for my players to come across some more interesting weapons what would be a good way other then ripping them off of deceased monsters(im not saying that i wouldnt wanna see if my players would be able to think of ripping the arm cannon off of a creature but just incase they dont).

by interesting i mean magical or extremely rare even if it aint all that great
