Dinky to Dragon [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-13-05, 06:17 PM I was just musing, and I was curious. What happens if a Dragon Polymorphs into a mouse or something, and then transforms into his true, Gargantuan, form in the middle of the party?

07-13-05, 06:40 PM i think i'd make it a reflex save.

if successful they can either remain on their square on top of the dragon or one of the squares adjacent to the dragon

those that failed would have a 50% chance to be moved to the outside edge of the dragon and take falling damage as if they had fallen that distance. 50% chance of appearing within the dragon as per having been swallowed.

I think that would be a fun opener to a battle. You're walking in a forest, minding your own business. No warning. Then, BLAM, there's dragon everywhere.

Note, Lycanthrope is different, it is strong enough to break things.

Note, Lycanthrope is different, it is strong enough to break things.I tend to agree, but it would be an interesting spell/class feature/feat....

that would probably be best let me rewrite

if you fail the reflex safe you move to a square either on or next to the dragon determined randomly, You take falling damage as if you had fallen that far.

07-14-05, 08:52 AM I'd say the party members get knocked over (ending up either underneith the dragon) or pushed to the sides when the dragon grows. What happens next depends on the dragon's intentions. :)
