A large cylinder, banded with steel, and with two weighted ends. It requires two hands to weild properly. Either side can be used, but not during the same round.

It can be in different shapes also, such as a large coffin for undead.

i agree 2d8 for structures sounds ok but against creatures it doesn't sit right maybe 2d6 or 1d12

I'm going to go against the flow here and say that 2d8 20x2 isn't unbalancing for a 2H martial with no other special attributes.

I ran it through this balancing chart I got from these boards a while ago...

2H Martial -40
2d8 +34
20x2 crit +5

for a total of -1, making it a relatively well-balanced weapon.

Remember, a greatsword is 2d6 19-20x2.
