Both of these actions involve opposed attack rolls. What attack bonus, if any, is used? I assume the attacker uses the bonus of whichever iterative attack he's on, but does the defender get to used his full attack bonus each time? If either character used Power Attack or Combat Expertise that round, would those penalties factor in to the attack roll?

The defender uses whatever attack bonus they have at the time. For example, if the defender dropped five points of BAB into Combat Expertise or Power Attack last round, they wouldn't get those 5 points on the disarm attempt.

If the defender has a tower shield or fought with two weapons the round before, those penalties apply.

And so on...

So it opposed current attack rolls. That our group can come to an agreement with.

You can sunder weapons but not armor, where does a shield fit into that.

Can you sunder rings, amulets, belts, boots, cloaks, bracers, gloves, and all those other pretty wonderous items.

We have had cloaks sundered with clubs, doesn't quite make sense to me.

Thanks in advance.

Oh and we play 3.5 btw.

RAW, you can sunder weapons and shields, but not armor.
You can sunder carried or worn objects, but you instead of making an opposed attach roll, you just attack them at AC 10 + the object's size modifier + the Dexterity modifier opponent.
It doesnt say so, but I would also think that the opponent's deflection and dodge bonuses would also count.

So what would the size be of the different slots you have, gloves, rings, amulets, circlets, cloaks, and those things, and where would I find the size AC modifiers.

I cant remember where it is for sure. I think it should be in the DMG, but for some reason I want to say the MM.

Regardless, something like a ring will be Fine, +8, from there Diminutive +4 and Tiny +2, and Small is +1.

Hmm, we got into a situation where we buffed up our characters as well had a high ac due to items, our dm using this method had an easier chance to sunder a ring than to hit us.

Fighter with barkskin, ring of protection, full plate and shield. (both shield and armor had magic vestiment).

Fighting giants with improved sunder was a little ridiculous, as most of our front line lost everything but their armor.

+8 mentions a size of 1/2 foot x 1/2 foot, that's still a pretty big ring.

I am not sure though.
