Question about Disarm and Sunder weapon bonuses and penalties, specifically, the +4 that a wielder of a two-handed weapon gets and a -4 that a wielder of a light weapon gets. Do these only apply to the person that is attempting the action?

Ie if I attack someone with a normal weapon, and he has a two-handed weapon, does he get a +4 bonus to his attack roll? Or is it only if I fail my attempt and he tries to counter, then he gets his +4?

They apply both to the attacker and the defender. If you use a two-handed weapon to disarm a dagger, you get a +4 and the guy with the dagger gets a -4 to the opposed attack roll. The same bonuses and penalties apply if the guy with the dagger tries to disarm the two-handed weapon.

He gets the +/-4 for all rolls regarding disarm/sunder, unless I'm missing something.

To clarify, its not all rolls...its just the opposed rolls.

There is a difference.
