Dispel Immunity? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-07-07, 02:19 PM Is there any sort of magical item or artifact that renders one (or gear in one's personal possession) immune to the effects of Dispel Magic?
I would imagine it would just about have to be a minor artifact to bestow
complete immunity but if anyone knows of an item which even duplicates this
for a limited time I would be grateful for the information.

03-07-07, 02:42 PM Get yourself a ring of Counterspelling. Charge it with Dispell Magic.

Note, this will not help against an area dispell, but offers complete protection against the first Targetted Disepll Magic cast on you.

03-07-07, 03:12 PM I just use Antimagic fields...you don't get any buffs, but it levels the playing field nicely.

Note, this will not help against an area dispell, but offers complete protection against the first Targetted Disepll Magic cast on you.For protection against area dispels, a bunch of magic mouths (at various CL's) cast on you can help.

To protect any of your permanent spells against dispel magic, have them cast at CL 20+ (the DC to dispel them will be too high for a regular dispel... you would need a greater dispel instead... which can also fit into a ring of counterspelling).
