You can fire as many arrows as you have attacks per round. A 6th level fighter can fire two arrows at his normal ranged attack bonus. If you have Rapid Shot, you can fire an extra arrow per round at your highest RAB in exchange for taking a 2 point penalty to all attacks that round.

Illithid is right.

This is in contrast to crossbows, which unmodified by feats, a light crossbow may be fired once per round and a heavy crossbow may be fired once every other round. The feat Rapid Reload will let you fire a heavy crossbow once per round (since it makes reloading a move-equivilant action), if I'm not mistaken.

Eliza is right, Illithid is right. Unlike 2E, weapons do not have their own speed. How many attacks you get depends completely on the wielder.

Yeah, except for slings, they got lost somewhere between the crossbow and the sort/long bow. I played Halflings with Slings in 2nd edition, but in 3rd edition it's just not an option as a main ranged weapon. Neither QuickDraw nor RapidReload apply to it.
