A drow spellthief [Archive] - Wizards Community

In this article Factotums and Spellthieves (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070606), there are the possible origin of the abilities of a spellthief :
Most spellthieves are the result of direct contact with godsblood, but some are the children of those who were exposed.

Is it possible for the drow character from the Novel "The War of the Spider Queen", as Ryld, Pharaun, Quenthel, ... to be exposed to the blood from Vhaeraun and Selvetarm when these two deities fought itself in the demonweb pits ?

The children from these characters could become spellthieves, no ?

06-07-07, 06:48 AM Sure. Godsblood is quite potent. You don't have to literally be struck by it to be empowered (though for all we know, it's possible that characters from WotSQ might have been hit with some godsblood splatter... wow that sounds funny). In other words, yes.

06-07-07, 11:59 AM No reason not to. I'd say any magical event of significant proportions can lead to side effects among the bystanders (drow mutants, imagine). Spellthieves, sorcerers, and their ilk can be quite common in any such cases, and godsblood... Well, it would be to a magical event what Tsar-Bomb was to a firework.

-His name is Kael, and he would have to be 1/4 Human, 1/4 Fiend, 1/2 Drow, due to his parentage.
