What would be the best way to adapt the RSoP to the Forgotten Realms? It seems like it would make a nice Prestiege Class for a cleric of Ilmater with a name change and a few requirements changes.

If one were to try and adapt it what would one replace the Sun Domain Requirement with? This would probably mean altering the Extra Greater Turning ability as well. Also, it seems that Ilmaterian Clerics generally keep a humble, low-key profile. Should the Radiant Ability be switched as well?

Have any of you all tried incorporating this class into the Forgotten Realms?

The Radiant Servant of Pelor is, basically, an speciality priest in healing and turning undead... similar to the Morninglord of Lathander (PGtF)... if I were you, I'd take morninglord instead of Radiant Servant, and worship Lathander instead of Ilmater.

Ilmater does not have access to the Sun domain or any other one that has anything similar, so I wouldn't make a speciality priest of Ilmater from the Radiant Servant, in my very humble opinion. But if you insist, I would take a look at the Martyred Champion of Ilmater (PGtF) and switch things between the Radiant Servant and the Martyred Champion.

Concerning Ilmater, I always thought that a Monk/Cleric/Sacred Fist would fit perfectly with him.

To be honest I'm really not very interested in the Turning aspects of the RSoP at all. I'm interested in the healing abilities of the class. That's what I meant when I said it would make a great PrC for Ilmater.

Also, are your sure the Martyred champion is in the PGtF? I remember seeing the Morninglord in it, but I don't remember the Martyred Champion. Is it healing oriented?

The Martyred Champion of Ilmater is in the Exalted/Vile appendix section of PGtF.

Here's what I've come up with so far. Its otherwise Identical to RSoP except where noted. I've changed the entry requiresments, including requiring more Skill Ranks in Heal.

Mender of the Broken
Alignment: Lawful Good
Base Save Bonus: +5 Will
Skills: Healing 9 Ranks, Knowledge (Religion) 9 ranks
Feat: Augment Healing
Spells: Ability to cast first level Divine Spells with Access
to the Healing Domain.
Deity: Must have Ilmater as your Deity

1st Level- Lose: Extra Greater Turning, Radiance, Turn Undead. Instead: Domain Focus: Healing

8th- Lose: Positive Energy Burst Instead: Effortless Healing (as the healer Class)

What do you think? Should I perhaps exchange the Acess to the Healing Domain with Access to the Strength Domain?

Also is there any place I could read more about the Church of Ilmater besides the FRCS and Faiths and Pantheons?

If you want a healing focused class I recommend you the classical bonus on spellcasting, ala bonus on caster level, augment or give more dice when healing... also you may look at class features from the Healer (Miniatures Handbook) or the Combat Medic (Heroes of Battle), farther from that...

About info on Ilmater, the three Realms religion sources you need about all deities of Faerūn are Faiths & Avatars, Powers & Pantheons, and Demihuman Deities. Ilmater is in the first of them, and you'll find great things in there.

How does it look now? I added an ability at 8th level to replace the Positive Energy Burst. Thanks for the Information on Faiths & Avatars. I'll see about looking that up!

I checked out Faiths and Avatars today! It was indeed filled with Great Information, though a large portion of it has been reprinted in the FRCS and Faiths & Pantheons. The information I hadn't read was excellent! I was hoping maybe F&A would have same prayers to Ilmater, but sadly it didn't. What I read merely whet my apetite for more. Are there any novels that follow the Ilmatari (clergy of Ilmater) or anybody who worships Ilmater?

Also, I'm toying with the idea of having my character being a pacifist. He'll probably wear armor, but only so he can protect himself while administering aid to his allies. He won't actually ever bring direct harm to a humanoid or indirectly allow harming of innocent or helpess humanoids. I think it seems like a good idea, and seems to fit with Ilmater's dogma.

Another question I had was about adventuring Ilmatari. I imagine some of the more Martial minded clergy multiclass monk and use their bodies as weapons. Is it still exceptable for the clergy to wear heavy armor or is that generally forwned upon by church edict?

Sadly, I haven't read much books, only the Icewind Dale and Dark Elves trilogies, and I'm pointing to others... I like Drizzt, but I wanna have some variance.

Then look for the Vow of Non-Violence and Vow of Peace feats, and the Apostle Of Peace prestige class, all in Book of Exalted Deeds... it's just that.

From what I know, Ilmatari prefer to have the lesser wealth possible so they prefer lighter armor and less expensive weapons (staff is a common option among them), but I think they are not forced to, and when battle approaches, they may carry heavy armor and probably a martial weapon (maybe a mace or sword, for clerics and paladins respectively).

I'll just have to do some research.

BoED isn't allowed in our campaign. I'm just going to roleplay it.
