| Dielzen07-23-07, 06:33 PM | Huge dungeons, like the Undermountain, can work equally well with an evil party as they do with a good one...just need to make a couple minor tweaks. |
| Lord Karsus07-23-07, 09:23 PM | -A party of Undead might tie into the recent events happening in Thay, detailed in Unclean. There's always the cliche "destroy the good artifact/relic" kind of thing. What kind of Undead are there, anyway? Depending on the type of creatures, I'm sure there are plenty of interesting opportunities. |

Right now there are 2 necropolitans 1 human 1 mind flayer, 1 vampire (savage progressions lvl 5/8 atm) and 1 ghost/human/blackguard |

Why not have a quest where they "build" (or, in actuality, destroy ;)) their own Necropolis? You have a Vampire...Maybe have a quest where it, and it's companions hunt down the vampire that effected it with vampirism in the first place? As for the ghost...Have a quest where it and it's companions hunt down the being(s) that killed it, and turned it into a ghost in the first place. |
| Shiftkitty07-24-07, 03:30 PM | I think a Necropolitan is a very nasty flavor of ice cream. :) I briefly had a run with a group of zombies that were a cut above your run-of-the-mill zombies in that they were capable of thinking, moving quickly, etc. It was a limited run story in which they were friends who got drunk, got stupid, got hold of a pilfered spell-book, and summoned something that killed them. Because one player had a final thought of remorse for what this thing was going to do to innocent people, the gods gave them a chance to redeem themselves. They had to track this summoned beastie down and destroy it before they rotted and fell apart. Since these characters weren't built to last but a couple of weekends of gaming, their reward after victory was to be allowed to pass on to peaceful rest, but I could see having them stick around lomger as wraiths or something that awaken when the realm is in need, under attack, etc. Undead doesn't necessarily mean evil, but your party doesn't exactly look like boy scouts. As far as products go, only an obscure stand-alone game or two years ago, nothing D&D that I've seen. |
