Yeah well, I just downloaded my favorite series of batman and I just finished it.
Now I wanna play batman in my next dnd game -_-.

I cant figure out if hes either a fighter, a monk or a rogue.
And im not a DnD dictionary (looks at LK), maybe im missing a prestige class?

Mind helping a poor soul? hahaha

Definately Monk - he primarily uses an unarmed style of Combat.

Then give him at least a couple of levels of Ranger, with favored enemy = criminal (;) ) - he needs tracking.

Then take on the Master Thrower PrC for the Batarangs. :D

And maybe the Master Inquisitive PrC from Eberron, to give him some detective skills.

I see batman as Rogue/Fighter/Vigilante (from Complete Adventurer) rather than monk, ninja (despite what it's shown in Batman Begins) or ranger. The Vigilante PrC is good to represent his detective skills.

In the cartoon series named batman begins (with the new batman kid) he gets sent by Bruce to learn martial arts. I do think monk would be his core class.

He does most of the time sneak up and "sap" out most of the first enemies he finds wich doesn't need rogue levels, just skills like move silently and hide.

The tracking skill is a must even if in the show most of his leads are from police reports, radio interception or other technology.

Don't need master thrower just a good dex! lol.

He's a Monk/Rogue with arguably a Grey Guard Paladin Class advantage.

He's Batman. ;)

More seriously, he's an Epic-level Monk/Rogue with ridiculously high DEX, INT, WIS and maybe a fair degree of CHA (and his physique is peak human, too, so you can add a decent amount of STR and CON). That's the most basic version, so to speak.

Yep. He's also been described as being versed in nearly every known weapon, so he'd need to be at least proficient in pretty much all the Simple, Martial and Exotic weapons (and anything else along those lines).

High Cha.

Solely because Christian Bale is hot.

But if someone wants to have fun with stating him, then I say go for it. I wouldn't use Batman (as is), but if the OP wants to discuss what his stats/classes would be, then the more power to him.

I just think your constant posting of DIE!!! isn't helping... I dislike MOSTof what I am hearing about the Realms, as are many others, but if you come off as a 'zealot', then folks won't take you seriously.

So even though I am with you, and hope 4e FR tanks, I still try to discuss the reasons why I feel that way in a constructive manner.

And I like you too. ;)

I'm gonna borrow some wisdom from penny-arcade and note the following equation.

Normal Person + Total Anonymity of the Internet = Total ***wad.

Anyhow. I suppose if we go the Begins route we could easily treat the suite proper as a heavily modifed exotic armor with high dex. The utility belt becomes a belt of many pockets (extradimensional goodness). He'd have better than elite array stats. Improved Unarmed Strike, Greater Unarmed Strike from Tome of Battle, Ranged Disarm, hmm... Investigate from the ECS is a must.

We're looking at someone who wouldn't have heavy armor proficiency. Light or medium. Masterwork Dastana from Arms & Equipment Guide to pump ac ever so slightly and room for enchantment (works with a few light or medium armors, going a more exotic flexible route it might work out). Armor is hit up with stealth enchantment and silent moves. Probably also wearing Nekode, not to use in a fight but to climb. Non magical smugglers boots with small magical items or alchemical equipment. Hand crossbow with a grappling bolt.

Not a flat out fighter...wouldn't work out right.

Rogue to start into Justicar or Urban Soul.

Can't see fighter working, and despite his creed and code of personal conduct I cannot see monk working either, batman does operate outside of the law.

Now if you're going with Dark Knight Returns...uh...actually lets go down to All Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder.

...no...not quite sure.

That's all I got for now.

I would say it depends on the level range you want. I'll make it mid epic. Since Batman is the sh*t.

I'll leave out 'Ninja' b/c there are a few different 'ninja-esque' classes and I don't know too much about the old Oriental Campaign setting.

:P

Tops. A CR around 26. I'd prefer a more 21-23 range.

But there are so many options between the classes, I would focus more on Mnk, Rog, Vigilante, and possibly Ninja Scout above any other classes.

So, maybe:

Rog 3/ Mnk 11/ Vigilante 5/ and Ftr, Rgr, or Ninja for the other 4 levels. (or just put the 4 levels in the above mentioned classes).

But honestly out of the classes mentioned you can find any combination 'fit'. The only thing I find unnatractive is Fighter. Batman is unique in his fighting style for one, and also, as said above he fights with his hands, however Ftr would give you some more feats as well, which maybe cheat your way with Ftr 2 if you can fit it, for a quick 2 feats, idk. It's really about preference becaus ethe classes and prestige classes are out there, you just need to apply them as you see Batman.

EDIT: Just real quick, I dont see the immediate need either to (if one were to apply Vigilante, to go past level 5 simply b/c of SQ's granted up to 5, but IMO would still need at least level 5).

I'd probably go with urban ranger, possibly with a level or two of monk and ascetic hunter. Just because he is a vigilante doesn't mean he has to take levels in it. Also, skilled city dweller could get him some tumble and other skills.

I've had to edit and delete several posts here - some for baiting, some for off topic. And in the deleting a couple of good things were lost. I'll restate it here and hopefully those who need this will listen:

Batman might seem to be an odd choice, but that doesnt matter. If it's not your choice and you dont like it, go post in another thread. You have no right to tear down someone else.

It's fun to take the silly route sometimes. Have fun, enjoy your games. Just dont step on someone else to do it. We arent going to allow it here.

Ummmm WizOKayn... I wasn't baiting at all and you know it. I was posting my dislike for Batman without baiting anyone or bashing anyone So now I'm not allowed to have an opinion? Shall I report YOU for deleting my posts without any good right to do so? Like I said, I did not bait or bash anyone, just expressing my dislike for batman. This is not right of you!
