Do the mounted combat feats apply to centaurs? I can see where ride by attack and spirited charge could do a centaur alot of good but mounted combat itself would be a waste of a feat. Would dodge be a good substitute? Any ideas or advice on the situation would be appreciated.

Just take the mounted combat feat already. Have you seen your str bonus and the damage of your large weapons?

Yes, the centaur gets great bonuses but why cheat the charector by forcing him to take a useless feat. Why would a centaur even have a rank in ride?

To learn how to walk? :P

Agreed the centaur should just be allowed to pick the combatfeats that are appropriate for his form without any ride skills. But the mountedcombat feat should still be taken as a prerequisite to the others.

If you really wanna give him acces to the mounted combat feats, go for it. Modify the feats and give them requirements like DEX 13 and Martial weapon proficiency for Centaur Ride by attack and Powerattack and Reckless assault (Cadv) for Centaur Spirited charge

Look up the centaur entry in races of faerun. They are allowed to take spirited charge without having to meet its prereqs (meaning you can eschew the need to take mounted combat).:)

I would just house-rule out any riding prerequisites for Centaurs, personally.

Damn shame about their enslavement by the kingdom of Andlath. ;)
