The template itself is in the FRCS,I believe.

Mystra is an FR specific deity that has nothing to do with Core D&D.
Grand History of the Realms sets her death in 1385 DR at the hands of Cyric.

Unless someone in the plot-writing division gets their brains back, that is. :nonono: We'll see how things will be in the 4e FRCS, but I'm thinking that there needs to be a serious unofficial errata to make it smell anything like the real Forgotten Realms.

@Drake_Vampiel_D: don't ask - they just did, and we're supposed to live with it. Frankly, I'd think that if Karsus couldn't kill her for good with his ascention, Cyric shouldn't have been able to do it either - Mystra is the Weave, so unless he somehow destroyed it as well she should have survived/reemmerged. The part about how he and Shar managed to pull that trick in the first place is also kinda doubtful, as I'm pretty sure magic would have been involved - and Mystra would know quite well if Cyric a) switched over to the Shadow Weave or b) used Weave magic to try to do anything to her. Oh, and there's also the matter of how Mystra herself, her allies (particularly Selune, who's big on divinations and has an eye on Shar) or her pet diviner Savras didn't pick up any of the clues, considering that she foresaw her death in the ToT several centuries ago - supposedly that's what prompted the birth of the Seven.

The GhoTR gives only a brief comment on that : "Cyric murders Mystra at her home plane, and a great disaseter happens after that" - that's what it, in a nutshell, says.

EDIT: Going away to watch a tv programme with the answer window open is not the wisest thing to do it seems:)
