Razz 08-08-07, 12:27 AM	Man, I really love this series of articles. Major kudos to Eytan Bernstein on his work for this series. In case you don't know what these articles are, you should check them out and read through the ones you missed: CLASS CHRONICLES (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070808) Right now it's on Incarnum. I probably should've started this thread long ago when he first started, but better late than never. What I thought of the current article had me worried at first. Was he going to destroy the idea that incarnum is shaping the energy of souls? That was awesome, why mess with it? But then he took it into a very interesting direction. By relating it to raw magic, and in actuality, the mysterious "heavy magic". So what do you guys think so far? I'm still a little taken aback by the now lack of "manipulating soul energy" flavor, but this may even be taken further into suggesting that the Weave is not only in control of all magic in Realmspace, but possibly the very conduit through which "true" incarnum travels through to bring life to the Realms? I love this series, as you can tell, and I can't wait to see the one on Tome of Battle.
Mad Mage 08-08-07, 01:25 AM	I thought it was a great touch, mostly because what was written fits it well into the Realms, past & present. :D Yeah, the soul-magic part appears to be practically missing, but - as you said before, Razz - at least elements of tying loose ends with heavy magic and leaks in the Weave were given some hard-earned credit. :cool:

Every soul of a being in Fearun is actually a meld of its physical body and its personal weave pattern. I love this line of thought! The weave as life bringer, a soulwind so to speak. This make it all the more important to protect as it is needed to light the spark of life at the moment of conception. Sex = magic! The shadow weave could harbor a very special deal made with Shar. In gaining acces to shadow weave magics you place of your own weave-energy in the hands of Shar. You'll be offering this energy permanently to Shar reshaping your soul to become darker being.
