The classic, smelly ferocious Verbeeg. These are lesser giants, small by standard giant size. True Verbeeg stand 10 feet tall at the least.
When a true giant is born of two true giant parents, it is sometimes called a Verbeeg, like a small human is called a migit. These are not true Verbeegs, but rather just slang of the true giants.
Verbeeg are dangerous foes nonethless, for a giant is a giant, even if its smaller then the others of its kind. The Verbeeg have some alliances with the frost giants. In fact, most people think the Verbeegs are all myths, and are just smaller versions of frost giants.

The Verbeeg were once scattered across the land in great numbers, until the humans and dwarves pushed them to the farthest reaches of the world. Now Verbeeg exist more in fiction then fact. Sightings are rare and are often thought to be a hoax.
True Northeners, the people of Icewind Dale, the Ten-Towns and the Barbarian Tribes, know these elusive creatures to be fact. They are often bothered by the Verbeeg attacking there villages and crops. Verbeegs are major pillagers. When joined with there own kind in greater numbers, they can sack a whole town. Verbeeg are easily put under enchantments, and are often found to be part of Evil Wizards armies.

The size would still be Large. I remember Verbeeg from 2nd Ed. They are missed.

I agree. Verbeeg may be smaller than a typical giant, but it's still Large.

What game are these stats for? They're clearly not for D&D or any of its iterations?

The HD should be 4d10 + 8, Base being 1d10 + 2, as I am assuming that he has a Con of 14.

Also the total HP wouldn't be 13, unless we are assuming that he somehow rolled three 1's and a 2 (8 from Con + 3 + 2 = 13).

The HP should look more like 10 Max at first + Average of 5 hp x 3 more HD + 8 From con (10 + 15 + 8) For a more appropriate total of 33 HP.

As for attacks, they are off the wall as well.

For example his Slam is 1d12 + 2 suggesting he has a 14 Str, but then his Pound is 2d6 + 5, which assuming is stated for one hand, would then imply he has a Str of 20. Lastly the Swipe is 6d4 + 6, which is either telling me that his Str suddenly became 22, or that he is using special rules for wielding two handed that I am unfamiliar with.

At Str 14, with 1.5 x Str for Wielding 2 handed, it should be + 3 not + 6, or alternatively were we to assume 20 Str then you would be looking at something more akin to + 7 for damage instead.

P.S. Giants don't tend to travel the land sporting gear thats + 3

Again, I have no idea what ruleset you clowns are using to create these stats. Let's go through the supposed stat block:

Verbeeg, or Pygmy Giants

I seem to recall that they were originally called, "human behemoths". I don't think "pygmy giant" is anything resembling an appropriate appellation.

Small Giant HD: 4d10 +2 {13 hitpoints}

Are they really Small? Have you ever read about verbeeg? OK, let's change to Large. They are slightly larger than an ogre, IIRC.

Where did the d10 hit die type come from? Giants use d8. Try 5d8 because they're supposed to be slightly tougher than an ogre.

As for your bonus hit points from Constitution and your calculation of average hit points, I can only assume that your inability to use correct spelling or punctuation is matched by your inability to do basic maths.

BTW, the average of a d10 is 5.5. It is not 5 and it is certainly not whatever you worked out. However, let's assume that we're going with the 5d8 hit dice version of the verbeeg and we get average hit points of 23 (5 x 4.5, rounded up) before bonuses from high Constitution.

Actually, let's have a look at the stat block of a verbeeg as prepared by someone who is not suffering from functional illiteracy and ADHD:

Skills: Grapple +6, Climb +2, Swim +1, Craft {tunnel} +5, cooking +3

I have no idea what rules you're using for any of this, so again, I would just point you to the correct stat block shown above.

Not sure I want to know what your response said before the Wizo's caught it, but I take offense to the term "clowns". Last time I checked I was saying the stat block was incorrect, and without personally finding what you call the "correct" one, pointing out where some of the mistakes were.

If this somehow offends you, that is a problem for you to deal with on your own time, and keep the insults from littering the board.

Yeah, the Wiz_O didn't catch the 'Clown' part, but they deleted quite a few nasty things at the end there.

It was definately "over-the-top".

The write up isn't bad, for a quick stat block of the giant and the best way for them. Heck if they work in your game, the stats are fine.

I'm making a version of them up myself, and as a giant you can use snatch.
I refer to E-tools, which is a good character generator.

I've put verbeegs in my campaign recently, and I've used the stats listed in the Creatures Catalog (http://www.enworld.org/cc/converted/index.php), a website full of converted 2e monsters, among other things.

Sorry about the small size...:( I meant a smaller giant, but I was incorrect in my stats.

Just seen them last week ... either in the MM II or the Fiend Folio. So you get their official 3E write-up's in there.

The only official verbeeg stats I've seen are in Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk (sidebar page 111). They're treated as half-ogres with different ability score modifiers.

Ah the Verbeeg! What a stupid monster from 2e. The human behemoth they called it. He was a 8' 300 lb bald guy wearing hide armor and carrying a spear. How about the Voadkin? Does anyone remember him? Cool idea wicked stupid picture.
