| wocoom95106-23-07, 02:23 AM | My GF's dad is a cleric and is looking for a prestige class the will help out his healing abilities but we can't find one in the books i own (and no i don't have Complete Divine or the Book of Exhalted Deeds) can anyone give me a link to a good healer prestige class? Thank you all ^.^ |
| Steelwind06-23-07, 07:29 AM | Well right now Im kinda tired, but I can only think of one cleric PrC that focuses on improving your healing abilities (among other things) and that is the Radient Servant of Pelor or translated into the realms would be Radient Servant of Lathander from Complete Divine. Besides full caster level clerics are damn good healers in there own right. Sorry I cant help you further. |
| MerrikCale06-23-07, 10:19 AM | To me, (and this has nothing to do with healing), I always preferred deity-specific PrCs. In fact, I think its what PrCs should be all about. Windwalkers, Doomguides, Silverstars, etc |
| GhoX06-24-07, 02:12 AM | I only know Warpriest... and I don't think I need to explain more about this class, the name says it... |
| Fluffykins006-24-07, 02:28 AM | I agree that by far the best healing class would be Radiant servant of Pelor, translated into realms terms as Radiant Servant of lathander. However, as you said, you don't have complete divine, and I, sadly, can't think of one that is anywhere else. |
| wilekat06-24-07, 05:12 PM | I personally don't allow "Radiant Servant of Lathander". There is already the Morninglord prestige class and Lathander is not that much of a healing god. |
| Burningspear06-24-07, 07:33 PM | I personally don't allow "Radiant Servant of Lathander". There is already the Morninglord prestige class and Lathander is not that much of a healing god. Lathander these days gets his fingers undeservedly into to many things, I dispise Lathander, he is a wannabee and a hasbeen imo :smirk:, and healing is not his specialty, if any god should have that it might be Ilmater the broken one or Nephtys and/or Hathor, Sharindlar has healing portofolio btw..and fertility.. the Angharradh triad has birth and fertility as well.. my :twocents: :cookie: :cookie: |
| Darakhoranon06-25-07, 07:01 AM | Yes, the "Radiant Servant of XXX" from Complete Divine is the only healer-PrC I can think of... Actually, as Steelwind said, a "simple" cleric should do the trick. Lots and lots of healing power - you donīt even really need any feats or whatever for that. Just choose your spells with care (if you donīt channel positiv energy and spontaneously cast healing speels, that is). An alternative MIGHT be a Favored Soul (with primarily healing spells as spells known, aka "divine sorceror"), but thatīs also in Complete Divine... |
| lockdar06-25-07, 07:22 AM | As far as I know, the only thing that could really upgrade a Clerics healing abilities are certain feats. There are feats out there that greatly enhance your healing spells, checking out the Character optimization forums would be a good start for that. You could also reason that since you can't find any Prestige Classes that boost your healing, maybe a cleric doesn't exactly need a boost in that area? ;) |
| RedGlacier06-25-07, 09:59 AM | Another one I can think of is the Combat Medic from Heroes of Battle. |
| Steelwind06-25-07, 11:32 PM | The Augment Healing feat from CD and the Touch of Healing reserve feat from complete champion are two other choices to throw out there, maybe you could go to the book store and write down the feats for later use. ;) |
| Gwyndar06-26-07, 01:37 AM | Another one I can think of is the Combat Medic from Heroes of Battle. If you have Heroes of Battle, this is a good choice. :cheer: |
| Diffan06-26-07, 04:08 AM | I also really like the Contemplative PrC from the Complete Divine. I know you don't have that book, but you at least might be able to look at it at the local book store and get the 411 on the PrC. It allows you to gain an additional Domain as well as full spell-casting. The Radiant Servant of Lathander isn't bad either, as well as the Morninglord of Lathander (PGtF). Also, the Divine Disciple (PGtF) is pretty good too. I'm guessing your cleric is good, so don't even worry about preparing ANY healing spells (for Spontaenous Casting purposes) but I'm sure you already knew that. |
